You Just Need to Show Up
Joshua 6:2 Even before the walls of Jericho fell, God told the Jews that He gave Jericho to them. It is the same for Christians today.

"Then the Lord said to Joshua, 'See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.'" Joshua 6:2 (NIV)
Even before the Israelites started their conquest of Jericho, God had already won the battle. The Jews were given instructions to walk around the city walls, once each day for six days, and then on the seventh day, walk around the city seven times, shouting at the top of their voices and blowing horns. In a military sense, this command seemed silly and foolish. The command was not meant to be a rational battle strategy, but a test of faith and obedience. The Israelite army just needed to show up and let God do the rest. Archeological findings in Jericho show that the walls fell outward creating a ramp so that Israelites could easily enter the city, exactly how the bible tells it.
Just as in the Old Testament, God has already won the battle for us. Romans 8:2 says, "That law of the Spirit of life has set us free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." We just need to show up and follow His instructions in faith and obedience. God asks Christians to show up, both in our personal lives and in our faith. He encourages believers to be present, reliable, and faithful in their relationships and responsibilities. We need to be active participants in our faith and serve others, reminding us that our presence carries significant weight.
Chose to be there for a friend in need, participate in church activities, serve the community, and worship with all our hearts, even if you need to shout to the Lord. For God already brought down the walls for us. We just need to show up in faith and obedience.
