Faithful Journey

Explore stories of resilience and unwavering belief.

Do the angels love us, or just protect us out of service to God? What if Michael the Archangel dwelt in your body? How would you influence him? Can we go too far away from God for Him to save us? These are some of the questions that are addressed in this book about one man and one angel.

In Out of the Ashes, Michael the Archangel is indwelt in the body of Chuck, a prison inmate that was once close to God, but now has departed as far as he could from him. Michael, who serves God faithfully, must learn how to love mankind through Chuck's body with none of his powers or any influence on him. To make things worse, Satan, his adversary, knows this and is free to attack Chuck directly.

Upon entering Chuck's body, Michael is subject to the flames of hate and despair created by an uncontrollable forest fire in his heart. How can love come from this pitiful life? Michael thinks. Chuck is just a shell of the man he once was. When an all-consuming fire has destroyed everything, can life spring out of the ashes? Out of the Ashes portrays the conflicts that we experience, both in the physical and spiritual world. It shows that, through God, all can be conquered. In this book, the fate of humanity rests in one angel and one man.

In a world torn by a thousand-year war between two once-brotherly nations, hope is but a distant memory. Yet, in the midst of bitterness and endless conflict, the Great Creator chooses two unlikely heroes... a boy from each warring nation.

Caleb, a twelve-year-old boy from the Hill nation, raised by his grandmother from the age of two, embarks on a quest by the Great Creator to find the scroll which is said to end the war. Another boy, Josh, a twelve-year-old orphan from the Valley nation, embarks on the same quest.

Each boy carries around his neck a medallion, a cherished heirloom passed down through his family together with a legend of a lost city where the two nations once lived together in peace. These medallions are two halves of a divine mystery: only when brought together can they reveal the true location and secret of the lost scroll.

As the boys’ journey through treacherous lands, they must learn to trust one another; their quest becomes not just a search for the scroll, but a transformative pilgrimage of forgiveness, faith, and friendship. Guided by a divine calling, the boys confront their nations’ history of pain and discover what it means to be chosen for a higher purpose.

Set in a world divided by ancient grudges and ceaseless strife, Hills and Valleys tells the powerful story of two nations, the Hill People and the Valley People, locked in a relentless war spanning a thousand years. Deeply rooted in allegory and Christian themes, this novel explores the path to reconciliation, divine calling, and the transformative power of brotherly love.
