The Twelve Stones
Joshua 4:21-24 The twelve tribes of Isreal set twelve stones on the other side of the Jordan as a memorial of what God did for them. It is important that Christians do the same.

21 He said to the Israelites, “In the future when your descendants ask their parents, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 22 tell them, ‘Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’ 23 For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. 24 He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.” Joshua 4: 21-24
As the leader of each tribe crossed the Jordan, they laid down a stone down to mark what God had done for them. The pile of twelve stones was not only to celebrate what God did for them, but also to show the rest of the world His power. An inhabitant of the promised land coming across the memorial might say, "This is the spot where the Lord, their God, dried up the Jordan. He truly is a great and mighty God. There is none more powerful than Him." God's people were in the promised land, not by their might, but by the might of the Most Holy One, and they would possess the land.
As Christians today, we may wear a cross to mark the day we became believers. We also show what Christ has done for us by our actions. A Christian may stay calm and collective when adversity strikes, leading a non-believer to question their calmness. That is the opportunity to tell the non-believer what Christ has done in your life, which could result in another soul being added to the roster of heaven. What is important is that we show the world what Christ had done for us, by following the examples He has set.
Show the world today what Christ has done for you. Feed the homeless, show compassion to others, love the unlovely, freely forgive, and share your testimony.
