And the temple which I build will be great, for our God is greater than all gods. But who is able to build Him a temple, since heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a temple, except to burn sacrifice before Him? 2 Chronicles 2:5-6 (NKJV)

In a letter written to King Hiram of Tyre asking for workmen to aid in building the temple, King Solomon tells him how great the God is that will be sitting in the temple. He lets Hiram know that his God is greater that any god and that the universe cannot contain Him. King Solomon knew that God was infinite and beyond physical limits. God was not only to be worshiped in the temple, but in every place and activity in the world.

Like Solomon, we need to be aware that God is infinite and is everywhere, so we need to worship him in everything we do. God is not just in church but in our homes, our work, when we vacation, and in every physical thing in the world and our universe. He created it all. Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made.” When we see God in everything, we focus on Him and how we can serve.

Choose to see God wherever you go. See God in the mountains and in the flowers in your front yard. He created it all for you, because He loves you more than the universe. His love for you, like Him is infinite. He loves you so much that He sent his only Son, Jesus who is God in the Flesh, to die on the cross for you, so that you could be in heaven forever. Let everyone know how great your God is and that the heavens cannot contain Him.
