Then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out. And to man He said, "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding." Job 28:27‑28 (NKJV)

Job talks about how man can find gold, silver, and precious gems that no bird or animal has seen, but he had trouble finding wisdom. He poses the question, "Where can wisdom be found?" and then says man does not know its value, and it's not found in the land of the living. Its value is worth more than gold or jewelry. But God knows its value and knows its place. Job tells his friends that the fear of the Lord is wisdom.

As Job declared, God is the source of wisdom for us and we know true wisdom is not human‑generated but revealed by God, who alone knows its origin and value. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." When we realize that our wisdom is limited like miners digging for gold but never reaching the source, we can look to God for true wisdom. Wisdom is not external to God but part of Him, and God makes wisdom known, first through creation and then to humanity. When we accept that true wisdom comes from God alone, who perceives, defines, establishes, and fully understands it, we embark on the only path to true understanding which is the fear of the Lord.

Choose to search out the source of true wisdom and have the heartfelt longing for God's truth. Know that true wisdom comes from 'the fear of the Lord,' which means a deep reverence, awe, and humble submission to God’s holiness and authority that forms the foundation of biblical wisdom. Trust in Christ, which is the embodiment of God’s wisdom, believing in Him and yielding to the Holy Spirit. Study and meditate on Scripture which is the primary source of His wisdom and pray for wisdom regularly, acknowledging God as the source. Walk in obedience and trust the LORD with all our heart and not relying on your own understanding. When you have the "Fear of the Lord," you have found true wisdom.
