Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me. Job 23:6 (KJV)

Even in a time of suffering, Job has a heart that longs for God, trusts His sovereignty, and holds fast to integrity. Even though he has been weakened, he does not give up hope in God to deliver him from his turmoil. Job's actions show that faith is not about immediate answers but about persistent seeking, even when God seems silent. Job asks the rhetorical question: 'Will God be against me?' and then answers it: 'No, He will strengthen me', knowing that God is a source of strength in his weakness.

Job statement about drawing from God's strength when he was weak sets an example for us believers today. God has the potential to overwhelm with His majesty, but God is an ally in trials, and His power is not meant to condemn us, but to strengthen us in our weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, "But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." This verse is Christ’s response to Paul after he pleaded three times for relief from a persistent affliction. Instead of removing the hardship, God assured Paul that divine grace continually provides all he needs and that weakness becomes the stage on which God’s strength is displayed.

Choose to proclaim God's strength in your times of weakness, leaning on His strength and power to provide for all your needs. Name your weakness before God without excuse or denial and pray specifically for God’s “sufficient grace” rather than just for the weakness to be removed. Anchor yourself in scripture, writing down and memorizing God's promises to strengthen you like Philippians 4:13 and Isaiah 40:29. Move forward in obedience even when the weakness remains, trusting God to supply and share testimonies of how Christ has carried you so that you can glorify Him and strengthen others in their times of weakness. Declare Jesus is my strength, even when I am weak.
