As he approached Lehi, the Philistines came toward him shouting. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. The ropes on his arms became like charred flax, and the bindings dropped from his hands. Judges 15:14 (NIV)

Samson, bound by ropes, was being led by 300 men of Judah to the Philistines. He had gone against his parents' warning and married a Philistine woman. After the woman betrayed his trust, he acted out in anger and did not consummate his marriage. The woman's father than gave the woman to Samson's best man. When he found out, Samson acted out in anger and burned Philistine crops and killed many men. The men of Judah wanted to avoid conflict with the Philistines, so they decided to deliver Samson to them. As he was given to the Philistines, God's strength entered into him, and he killed 1000 men with a jawbone of an ass. The Israelites had been in bondage for 40 years to their oppressor, and God used Samson, with all his faults, to free HIs people from bondage, thru His strength.

Just like Samson, we are a people with all kinds of faults. Luckily for us, God is strong and he does great things, despite our weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness'" and Philippians 4:13: "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." God may call you to a task that seems daunting for you. You may say, "I am a sinner, Lord. I will never be able to do that. I am too weak." That is Satan keeping you from what God wants you to accomplish because God says, "Your weakness is made perfect in Me, and you can accomplish anything through My Strength."

Choose to rely on God's strength. Acknowledge your weaknesses, seek His presence through prayer and scripture, and trust in His promise to support you during challenging times. It doesn't matter if it is for a trial that you are going though or a task that the Lord has put on your heart. Even though you may feel weak and inadequate, rely on God's strength.
