Remember to magnify His work, of which men have sung. Everyone has seen it; man looks on it from afar. Job 36:24‑25 (NKJV)
In proclaiming God's goodness, Elihu teaches that the Lord's justice, power, wisdom, mercy, and sovereignty are perfect, and that His ways are beyond full human understanding. He states that God's justice is unfailing, His power is limitless, and His wisdom is beyond comparison. Elihu tells Job to recall and exalt God's work and points out that it is visible to everyone.
Elihu teaches us that God’s mighty works are evident to all, yet our view is partial. We are called to remember them, praise them, and respond with awe and trust, recognizing both His greatness and our limited perspective. Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." Even the Waorani, a remote Amazon tribe, could see God's work in everything and said, “Now we know God’s name,” when missionaries told them about Jesus. As believers we just need to get off our phones, put away our computers, turn off the tv, and spend a little time each day looking at creation around us, and say, "I know God's name".
Choose to spend a little time each day acknowledging God's awesome creation all around you. Remember to do it when you are feeling overwhelmed and tell yourself that He did it for you. God created this world for you, because He loves you so much. If He can create the universe and everything in it, He can get you through any trail or tribulation that you may be going through. Get away to the mountains, the sea, or a park and open up your bible to read about the great things God has done. Remember to magnify God’s works, recognizing both their visible evidence of His existence and their surpassing greatness.
