Live Out Your Faith
Nehemiah 10:29 Just as the people of Judah made a vow to walk in God's Law, Christians today show faith by how we live our lives.

These joined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes: Nehemiah 10:29 (NKJV)
Nehemiah 10 marks a pivotal moment of spiritual restoration and covenant renewal, demonstrating intentional commitment to follow God's laws. Leaders, Levites, priests, and the community collectively signed the covenant, showing unity among the Israelites. They held each other accountable for their promises, including avoiding intermarriage with surrounding peoples, observing the Sabbath, and committing to remaining separate from pagan influences, demonstrating holiness and spiritual discernment.
Like the people of Judah, we need to make the conscious decision to live our faith, avoiding influences that can compromise faith and maintain a life set apart for God. James 2:18 says, "But someone will say, 'You have faith; I have deeds.' Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds." Spiritual growth requires active, conscious choices rather than the passive acknowledgment of faith and strengthens resolve and aligns our actions with God’s will.
Make a firm commitment to show your faith by the life you live, reflecting belief, love, and obedience to God, making your trust in Him visible to others. Serve others in everyday tasks without complaint, by helping at home, volunteering at church, or feeding the homeless. Speak truth in love and encourage those around you by practicing integrity in work and personal responsibilities, honoring God through honesty and diligence. Be an active member in your church, not forsaking attendance, willing to pray with your family, community, and those in need. By actively living out your faith, you not only honor God but also inspire and bless those around you, bringing people to Christ and living a life of faith.
