And the priests killed them; and they presented their blood on the altar as a sin offering to make an atonement for all Israel, for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering be made for all Israel. 2 Chronicles 29:24 (NKJV)

In the first year of Hezekiah's reign as king of Judah, he cleansed the temple and started religious reform in Judah. Hezekiah ordered the priests to remove all the "rubbish", which included Idolatrous debris, defiled offerings, and physical filth from years of neglect from the temple. After the temple was clean, the priests had to sanctify it, which took another eight days, totaling sixteen days to get the temple ready for worship. When the priests made offerings on the altar of the Lord, they made an atonement for the sin of all of Israel, not just that of Judah. Hezekiah knew that even though they were separate nations, all of God's people needed forgiveness of their sins.

Every single person on this earth, past, present, and in the future is a child of God and needs forgiveness. When God sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins, He was not selecting just a few to be saved, but for everyone who had lived before Jesus, were there with Him, and everyone who would follow after. 1 John 2:2 says, “He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." We may believe that there are individuals now and from the past who do not deserve forgiveness, but God does, and that is what makes Him great.

Choose to pray that everyone in the world will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, even the ones that you may not want saved. Choose to love the sinner as God does, praying for their repentance and acceptance into the kingdom of God. Take every opportunity that the Lord gives you to share the gospel. You may have someone at work who you don't like because they are obnoxious and you don't agree with their lifestyle, but when God brings them to you because of problems in their life, share how Jesus has improved your life. You might get them to accept Jesus, and the obnoxious person may become a lifelong friend who shares a hope in Jesus. Remember that Jesus is for everyone, not for the select few that go to church.
