If You Seek Him

2 Chronicles 15:2 The prophet Azariah told King Asa to seek God, and He would be with him. The same is true for Christians today.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: ‘Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. 2 Chronicles 15:2 (NKJV)

The Spirit of God came upon the prophet Azariah to tell King Asa to seek God, and he would find Him. Azariah said that Israel was without a God, and all they found was trouble, but when they sought God, they had peace. When Asa heard the words, he sought reform for all of Judah and Benjamin and entered into a covenant to seek God with all their heart and soul. King Asa also removed anything that was not of God, and the Lord granted him peace for the next thirty-five years of his reign.

Like King Asa, if we seek the Lord with all our heart and soul, we will find Him and find peace. Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Jesus said, 'My peace, I give you,' which comes from making a daily effort to seek Him. Seeking God is not merely a one-time act but a continuous, wholehearted pursuit.

Choose to put faith and trust in God's promises and seek Him daily. Pray without ceasing every day, asking Him to come into your life and prioritizing His kingdom over the world. Read and meditate on the Bible at the start of each day, asking Him to guide you through His written word. If you only read one verse, it is better than none at all. Take that verse and keep it close to your heart during the day. Write down memory verses that bring you closer to God and put them in a place that you look at each day. When you earnestly seek God each day, He finds you and gives you peace.
