Is it fitting to say to a king, ‘You are worthless,’ And to nobles, ‘You are wicked’? Yet He is not partial to princes, Nor does He regard the rich more than the poor; For they are all the work of His hands. Job 34:18-19 (NKJV)
In his discourse to Job and his friends, Elihu states that God is not partial to anyone because He is the creator of everyone on earth. He counters Job’s complaints and affirms God’s justice, declaring that His authority and impartiality are absolute. What may not be fitting for man is fitting for God and He can say to a king, 'You are worthless', and to a noble, 'You are wicked.' Elihu wants the men, and especially Job to know that God’s standards are not swayed by social rank, wealth, or influence and even the most powerful rulers are subject to His rebuke and judgment.
The God of Job's time is the God of today, and just as He showed no partiality to kings and nobles, He shows no partiality to any individual on earth, no matter their importance or status. But there is a select group of people that He gives partiality to because of their choice. Acts 10:34–35 says, “Then Peter opened his mouth and said: ‘In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.’” God’s acceptance is based on faith and righteous action, regardless of race, color, sex, social status, identity, or heritage. God is impartial to everyone and gives everyone to ability to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, thus becoming partial to them, giving them life everlasting in heaven with Him.
As a believer, you need to choose to be impartial like God, offering the hope of salvation to all around you no matter of your feelings toward them. God may bring someone into your life who you feel does not deserve to be saved, but you need to be faithful to Jesus and offer the hope of salvation to them and pray the sinner's prayer with them. In heaven none of your thoughts, feeling, prosperity, or actions will count for anything, except those that helped build God's kingdom. God is not partial to princes, and neither should you.
