“Most blessed of women be Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, most blessed of tent-dwelling women. Judges 5:24 (NIV)

Chapter 4 of Judges starts out with the Israelites doing evil again in the sight of the Lord put them under the rule of Jabin, the king of Caanan. Then Deborah, the prophetess tells Barak from the tribe of Naphtali to go to war with Jabin and God would deliver Sisera, his commander into his hand. Barak was hesitant and said that he would not go unless Deborah went with him. She says fine then, but a women will get the glory instead. The Canaanite army was being defeated and Sisera ran for cover in a Kenite tent. Jael, a housewife, drives a tent stake through Sesera's head and kills him. In chapter 5, Deborah and Barak sing a song of praise giving Jael the glory for the defeat of the Canaanites.

Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." We, means all believers! One of the most extraordinary things you can do is bring someone to Christ. By doing so, you save a soul from eternal damnation, and you give new life. You don't need to be a pastor, missionary, or an evangelical crusader to bring someone to Christ. God uses ordinary people to do so. 83% of people that come to Christ are under the age of 14 and best person to talk to them about Christ is the homemaker who is there for them each day. It doesn't matter if you have a job and are not there till the end of the day to see your kids. Take the time to include God in your evening routine. You will be doing an extraordinary act for your kids.

Choose to talk to your kids when they are young about Jesus. Ask them to accept Jesus as their savior. If you are a grandparent watching your grandkids, talk to them about Jesus. Take time at the end of the day, before bed, and read a bible story, and pray with them. It does not end with your kids. God may give you an opportunity to talk to someone about Jesus. Choose the extraordinary act when it is presented to you.
