God Uses the Ordinary
Esther 2:17 Esther, and ordinary Jewish was chosen to be queen, placing her in the position needed to save the Jews. Just like Esther, God places us where he needs us.

The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. Esther 2:17 (NKJV)
King Ahasuerus needed a new queen, so all the young ladies of the land were summoned and prepared to meet the king. Esther, a Jewish girl and niece of Mordecai, who was taken in by him as a daughter when her parents died, was chosen to be queen. As per Mordecai's instruction, she did not reveal that she was a Jew. Mordecai came to visit his niece and heard of a plot to kill the king, so he told Esther who talked to King Ahasuerus in Mordecai's name and the plot was foiled, giving Mordecai favor in the king's eyes. This was all done by God, so that the Jewish people would be protected from an upcoming attack.
Just like the Jewish people, God places unlikely people in our lives to protect us from harm, equip us for growth, and revel His presence. God also uses us in unlikely situations, where we feel unprepared, to do His good works. 1 Corinthians 1:27 says, "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." When God calls someone, it is not because they are “great” in the world’s eyes, but because He sees their potential for His glory.
If you feel God has placed an unlikely person in your life, trust that His plan is greater than your understanding. Pray for wisdom to discern His purpose and be open to His protection and guidance. God may call you to do something you feel you’re not ready for, and it involves a mix of faith, humility, and trust. God’s protection often comes through those who seem least likely to succeed because He is the one who makes all things work together for good. When you feel that you are the unlikely person, pray for guidance and clarity, seek conformation, study God's word, and trust in His plan, because God uses the ordinary to do the extraordinary.
