God is not Indifferent
Job 7:21 Like Job we can ask where God is in our suffering. We may say. "Are you even here for me God? Do you care?" Even though we don't feel it, God is with us.

In his passionate expression of grief, Job reflects on the hardships of human life, comparing his days to those of hired laborers and expressing the misery of his nights. He feels overwhelmed, burdened, and even oppressed, despite not understanding any wrongdoing that would justify his suffering. His words reveal a tension between his faith in God and the reality of his suffering, where he expresses deep anguish over his suffering and questions God’s justice. Job pleads for God’s mercy, asking why He has not forgiven his sins and acknowledges the inevitability of death, implying God will seek him, but he will no longer be present.
Like Job, we can wonder where God is when we are going through very difficult situations and our suffering becomes unbearable. It is at these time that we may say, "Are you even here for me God?" or "Do you care about what I am going through?" The answer is yes because God is not indifferent, and He loves us deeply, unconditionally, and eternally, to the point where He sent his only Son to die on the cross for our sins. Sometimes God is quiet because He is allowing us to grow as Christians by testing our faith and achieving spiritual maturity. James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Choose to see your trials and tribulations as a way to grow your relationship with God, actively choosing joy, instead of letting despair take over your life. Trials are not meaningless; they are opportunities for spiritual growth and refinement, much like gold is purified by fire. Go to your brothers and sisters in Christ for the support to get through the tough times, reinforcing community faith. Instead of only asking God to take away your tribulation, ask Him to get you through it. He is not indifferent and is right there with you in the good times and when you think you are not going to make it through the night.
