Find Favor in His Sight
Esther 5:2 Just as King Ahasuerus found favor in the queen, God finds favor in us when we accept Christ.

So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. Esther 5:2 (NKJV)
Queen Esther needed to Ahasuerus to save the Jews, but she first needed to prepare herself so that she was pleasing to her king. When King Ahasuerus saw Esther in the court, he saw her beauty and grandeur, finding favor in his sight, and he offered her a request up to half of his kingdom. Esther knew that she he needed a plan, and that the king needed to be in high spirits before making her request, so she told him that he and Haman were to come to a banquet that she prepared for them. After the banquet, she told the king to come back the next day with Haman for a second banquet and she would make her request known.
Just as Queen Esther, we found favor in God, our King, when we accepted Christ and clothed ourselves in Him. In Galatians 3:27, it says, “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ,” preparing us to see God. When we enter the throne room of God, He sees our beauty and grandeur that comes from our royal robes which is Christ. He finds favor in us and holds out His golden scepter, offering us His kingdom, and letting us know we will rule with Him. When we put on Christ, we also adopt Christ’s character and virtues which guide our daily lives, including qualities such as compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, reflecting Christ’s character in our actions.
Choose to share the gospel and help others come to Christ, participating in God’s mission, clothing others in the royal robes that is Christ. When you became a believer, God called you to “make disciples of all nations” and to be witnesses to the ends of the earth. This is not just your duty—it is a way to reflect God’s love and to open doors for others to experience His favor. When you bring people to Christ it is an act of love and service, which are qualities God values, finding favor from Him and reflecting His love.
