Faith, Courage, & Intercession
Just as Esther interceding for herself and the Jews, we are called by God to intercede for the people around us.

Then Queen Esther answered and said, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.” Esther 7:3 (NKJV)
On the second day when King Ahasuerus and Haman went to dine with the Queen Esther, the king asked her once again what her petition was. The queen told him that her life and that of her people were sold to be destroyed and the king wanted to know who would dare to do so, and where was he at. She told the king that Haman was that person, arousing the king's wrath, and Haman was hung on the gallows meant for Mordecai.
Just as Queen Esther interceded for her people, we are called to do the same. 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” Prayer is a powerful tool that God gives us to intercede for people around us. Our faith gives the foundation to trust in God’s promises, our courage gives the action, stepping out in faith despite fear, which leads to intercession giving us the outreach and praying for others in faith and courage.
Choose to follow the example Jesus gave you and make it a daily routine to pray for intercession. Pray for the physical and emotional needs of others, asking God for health, strength, comfort, and peace. Pray for the spiritual growth of the church, that others align their lives with His will, pray for reconciliation, understanding, and unity in families, friendships, and communities, and pray for specific challenges that others may be going through, such as personal struggles, financial difficulties, or crises with faith. Choose to pray with others, strengthening faith, fostering community, encouraging healing and support. When you pray for others, your faith gives you the courage, to intercede, allowing God to perform miracles in their lives.
