Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places. Job 25:2 (NKJV)

In his final comments to Job, Bildad states that dominion and fear belongs to God. Bildad argues that God’s power and authority are absolute, and that human beings are insignificant in comparison. He tries to persuade Job that God’s ways are just and that human righteousness before God is impossible without divine favor.

As believers we know that dominion and fear belong to Jesus, our Lord and Savior. In Revelation 1:8, Jesus says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega… the Almighty,” declaring Himself as the eternal ruler over everything. He governs all creation without limitation, and no one can claim to be righteous before Jesus apart from His grace. It is His grace that He gave us when He went to the cross which makes us righteous, and in return, we need to say, dominion and fear belong to Him, giving Him the due respect He deserves.

Choose to give Jesus the due respect in everything you do, asserting the dominion that He has over your life and everything in the universe. Honor Christ above all and to let every part of your life bear witness to His lordship, proclaiming His name with gratitude and truth. Engage in corporate worship, personal prayer, and acts of adoration that acknowledge His divine authority and majesty, choosing to be obedient to His teachings. Avoid casual or empty use of His name and let every action—work, relationships, and decisions—be done “in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, and dominion and fear belong to Him.
