Delegated Authority
Esther 8:8 Just as Mordecai was given authority to act in the king's name, as believers, we made to be ambassadors for Christ.

You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s signet ring; for whatever is written in the king’s name and sealed with the king’s signet ring no one can revoke. Esther 8:8 (NKJV)
Even though Haman was dead, the Jews were still in danger, so Esther pleaded with the king to save her people. King Ahasuerus, who gave Mordecai the signet ring and the position that Haman held, told them to write a decree concerning the Jews in his name and seal it with the signet ring which no one could revoke. The letter that Queen Esther and Mordecai wrote permitted the Jews to gather together in all the land and protect their lives and destroy all forces of any people that tried to assault them.
Just as Mordecai was given authority to act in the king's name, we were given authority as ambassadors for Christ when we accepted him as our Lord and Savior. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” As ambassadors for Christ, we represent Jesus and His kingdom while living in a world affected by sin, which involves sharing His love and teachings with others, as well as communicating His message to all those around us. As ambassadors, we reflect the official position of Christ, acting in His authority and is a special mission for us Christians to embody and promote the values of our faith.
Choose to accept the delegated authority as an ambassador of Christ, living out His character, reflecting His love and truth in daily life. Act as citizens of heaven while living in the world, with priorities and values aligned with God’s kingdom. Speak the gospel with grace, bringing Jesus to people, and urging them to accept Christ as their savior, obtaining the salvation you know. Serve others as though you are serving Christ, reach out to the lost, restoring broken relationships, and be faithful to the gospel message, showing courage in the face of opposition, and exhibiting wisdom. Most of all, be motivated by your love for God and neighbor, becoming a powerful Ambassador for Christ.
