A Meaningful Relationshiip

Saul is determined to kill David. Jonathan, despite being the son of King Saul, chooses to support David, recognizing his worth and destiny over his own potential claim to the throne. Jonathan goes out to see David and assures him that he would not die and would do anything for him. David then takes an oath to God and Jonathan, affirming his trust in their friendship. Jonathan knows he is being watched so he devises a plan to reveal Saul's true intentions to David without anyone knowing. After confronting his father about his intentions, Johnathan realizes he is not going to change him mind, so he goes out in the field and shoots three arrows past David, letting him know he is in danger. After Jonathan sends his servant away with his bow, David meets with Johanthan renew their vow of friendship before fleeing for safety.

In John 15:13, Jesus states, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." Choose to make your make your friendships meaningful. Show genuine interest in your friend's thoughts and feelings by giving full attention, using verbal and non-verbal cues, and avoiding judgment. Maintain open and honest communication to foster trust and mutual respect. Regularly express gratitude and appreciation for your friend's presence and support. And most of all, love your brother or sister like Jesus loves you, because there is not a more meaningful love than that.
